I was pleased to read the book “Success Stories”, in which our partners talked about the “Study of the socio-economic situation and needs of IDPs in Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region”, which we conducted in 2023. The objective of the study was to analyze the socio-economic situation of IDPs in Vinnytsia region, identify their needs and existing problems in ensuring the socio-economic rights of IDPs in Vinnytsia region in order to increase the effectiveness of assistance from the state, donors and communities.
Project manager prof. Alyona Tanasiychuk. Today, she is the head of the NGO “Network of NGOs to Support IDPs in Ukraine”. The network operates in seven regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne and Poltava. There are coordinators in each region. The network, although quite “young” for an NGO, has already done a lot to help Ukrainians – from charitable assistance to training and research. “For IDPs, we are close people, and they openly tell us about all their pains,” says Alena. We try to find different opportunities for support, using our experience of communicating with various organizations, including international ones.
