Why is this important?
Ukraine’s accession to the EU involves approximation of legislation to EU acts.
One of the constituent elements of this direction is the right of children and adolescents to healthy food. European legislation, as well as organizations in the field of health and consumer protection, use various tools to regulate the marketing of food products for children and adolescents. Prerequisites have been created in Ukraine that allow implementing EU experience to attract public organizations, self-regulatory industry associations to apply EU experience in the field of control and monitoring of marketing of unhealthy food products for children and adolescents.

The main tasks of the project are the dissemination of information and European practice regarding the regulation of the marketing of food products and the protection of the rights of children and adolescents from the influence of unhealthy food advertising.

The urgency of the project is due to the need to harmonize the established European practices of applying regulatory and voluntary restrictions on the marketing of unhealthy food among children and adolescents with the Ukrainian market for Ukraine’s entry into the EU single market.

The event is supported by the European Union and the “Renaissance” International Foundation as part of the joint initiative “European Renaissance of Ukraine”.
