The Ukrainian Marketing Association (UMA) has officially become a member of EFAMRO (the European Federation of Market Research Organisations), a leading European federation that brings together associations operating in the fields of market research, social research, and public opinion research.
The decision to grant membership was approved on 18 November 2025. UMA’s membership in EFAMRO represents an important step toward integrating the Ukrainian market research industry into the European professional community.

UMA AND EFAMRO RELATIONS
The Ukrainian Marketing Association has many years of experience collaborating with the European professional community in the field of market research. As early as the early 2000s, UMA began systematic work on self-regulation of the market research industry, guided by European professional and ethical standards.
In 2001, the Ukrainian Marketing Association developed, approved, and obtained state registration for the UMA Quality Standards for Market Research (SOU 91.12.0-21708654-001-2002).
EFAMRO provided its then-current European standards for market research, which served as the basis for the UAM Quality Standards for Market Research. These standards were adapted to the Ukrainian context, taking into account national legislation and the specifics of the local market.
The UMA Standards serve a regulatory function for the market research industry, contributing to the professional development of specialists, ensuring ethical principles in conducting research, protecting respondents’ rights, and promoting fair competition.
